Previously, the Politburo on September 9, released a decision to suspend Binh as the Party Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee and membership of the Central Party Committee.

Binh was cited for many mistakes in office, including violations in staff recruitment at some local departments and signing a discharge dispatch for former Deputy Director of Camimex import-export company, Nguyen Tin Nguong. Nguong has been arrested for fraud.

After Nguong’s case, Binh was involved in a corruption scandal, for which he was served a warning by the Central Inspection Committee.
