According to Assc.Prof.PhD Dao Duy Quat, a high-ranking official of the Party Central Committee Commission for Propaganda and Education, editor-in-chief of Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper and head of the Organizing Committee, seas and islands sovereignty generated the most attention from contestants.
The contest has attracted a lot of participants who are pupils and students. “Some small pupils, who cannot use the Internet, have sent written exam papers to the Organizing Committee,” Mr. Quat said.

“It can be said that the active response from a large amount of people, especially young people, confirms the efficiency of the contest,” Mr. Quat went on to say.
The contest aims to give a more comprehensive understanding about the role and potential of Vietnamese seas and islands, as well as the seas and islands social and economical related issues, according to the Organizing Committee.
