LookAtVietnam – Miss World 2007 Zhang Zilin and Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova will return to Vietnam in May for the charity tour, “Dau chan tu thien” (Footprints of charity).

On May 27, the tour will visit and restore some temples in Hanoi and pagodas in the north central coastal province of Thanh Hoa. The restoration work is part of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi celebrations next year.
One day later, the delegation will travel to the Red River Delta province of Ha Nam to inaugurate 30 Red Cross offices.
Ho Chi Minh City will welcome the beauty queens and the RAAS delegation on May 3, where they will provide 100 new beds to Que Huong Home for Disabled Children.
The two Miss Worlds will take part in the inaugurations for 30 houses for the poor families in the Mekong Delta’s Province of Hau Giang on June 2, before raising money at a concert for “Vong tay nhan ai” (Compassionate arms), a fund for poor patients in Can Tho City.
Various local popular singers will also perform at the concert, including Lam Truong, Quang Linh, Kasim Hoang Vu, Nguyen Vu, Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha and Mat Ngoc girlband. The concert will be broadcast live on Can Tho TV.
The concert is expected to raise enough money to cover 20 percent of medical insurance costs for the people on low incomes who cannot access free medical insurance.
According to former Minster of Health Tran Thi Trung Chien, the World Bank promised to support 30 percent of the costs, while the Vietnam government will cover the remaining 50 percent.
Over June 3-6, the group will visit the south central coastal provinces of Quang Nam and Da Nang and the north central coastal provinces of Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Tri.
The final stop of the trip is the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa over June 7-8.
On the morning of June 7, the beauty queens will be special guests at the Nha Trang Festival.
In the evening, the delegation will hold a concert to raise money for the scholarship fund “Vu A Dinh” in Nha Trang city.
Besides the appearance of two Miss Worlds, the audience will also see other popular artistes like Lam Truong, Quang Linh, Kasim Hoang vu, Nguyen Vu, Hien Thuc, Ho Ngoc Ha, and Ho Quynh Huong.
The newly crowned Miss Indonesia 2009 will also be present.
The concert will be broadcast live on Khanh Hoa TV.
The “Vu A Dinh” scholarship fund sponsors the education of fifth to twelfth graders children in the border area.
