With three points from the game, Binh Duong earned four points after three matches, including one win against Chinese Lifan in the opener before losing to Cement Hai Phong in the second match.

Binh Duong will face a tough rival Deque De Caxias of Brazil in the semi-finals, who topped Group B with a match in hand after beating Vietnamese Dong Tam Long An and Uganda’s Kampala.

In the earlier match, Hai Phong ousted Lifan with a 1-0 win to finish as Group A leaders with seven points after two wins and a draw. They will meet the second team of Group B.

Defending champions SHB Da Nang stood little chance of making it through to the semi-finals and defending their title when they have to win the match against a very strong Duque de Caxias today at Binh Duong Stadium.

The last match of the group stage will be between Kampala vs Dong Tam Long An two hours later. The Vietnamese team need a draw to make it through to the semi-finals.
