The six-piece band performs a combination of salsa, bachata, merengue and other genres, featuring prominent violin work.

Having gained a fan following with performances throughout Spain, Italy, China and Venezuela, Luna Negra are looking forward to a repeat performance in Vietnam.

“Wait till Saigon gets a load of these guys,” John Gardner, general manager of the Caravelle, said shortly before their arrival. “These are serious musicians but they know how to have fun and they’ve got a lot of live experience under their belts despite being so young.”
