South Korea helps restore royal musical instruments

LookAtVietnam -South Korean specialists will help restore bac chung (big brass bell) and dac khanh (big stone gong) musical instruments associated with nha nhac (Vietnamese royal music), according to the Hue Imperial Relics Preservation Centre (HIRPC).


The South Korean National Institute of Traditional Art Performance will additionally provide US$20,000 in sponsorship for restoration work carried out in Hue City, situated in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.


The South Korean centre helped the HIRPC restore a set of nha nhac percussion instruments on a previous occasion.
