LookAtVietnam Bridge – Nam Dinh defeated Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) 3-1 in a late match of the 19th round of V-League play in Thien Truong Stadium yesterday.

In a mixed stage before Nam Dinh's goal, Vandinei D.Santos scored the first and only goal for the visiting team in the 17th minute.

Just two minutes later, in an attacking effort made in the middle line with teammate Hoang Nhat Nam, Tran Duc Duong levelled the score for the hosts. This was Duong's seventh goal in this tournament.

The match's speed was quite slow due to the hot weather.

VFF reduce sentence

The Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) decided recently to only give one demerit point to the SLNA football instead of three points, as was ruled on June 2 at court in Vinh City.

Naturally, SLNA expressed enjoyment at their lessened punishment. However, some people thought that the revised punishment for SLNA was too light. Vinh Stadium is forbidden to hold games from now to the end of this year.

This means the SLNA is barred from competing in three more matches.

Some people feel that the violence at Vinh Stadium was a consequence of the VFF lessening the punishment for a sImHar disturbance by The Cong earlier In the season.

In the 32nd minute, Nam Dinh's Van Ngoc Linh was replaced by Danh Ngoc and since then Nam Dinh, who lost to Ha Noi ACB 1-2 in the semi-final match in the National Cup, found chances to score goals. It was in the 35th minute that Nam succeeded in scoring the host's second goal.

With the support of fans on their home turf, Nam Dinh created chances to get ahead. Nam missed the chance to score for Nam Dinh in the 44th minute.

After the break, SLNA replaced three players but the chance to score went to the host when Duong scored his second goal, this time in the 53rd minute. SLNA tried their best but were unable to score any goals.

The top-flight league has resumed after a one-month break for the European Championships, hosted by Austria and Switzerland, which finished on Sunday.

After winning this match, Nam Dinh has gained 25 points. Hai Phong cement are temporarily leading the ranking table with 32 points while Hoa Phat now share the bottom spot with Hanoi.
