For an evening of upbeat raggasalsa, head to the at the Cong Nhan theatre on 21 May.
HCM City:
Still on every Thursday is the experimental play Huyen Thoai Cuoc Song (Myth of Life). Experimental theatre is good for mind and soul, or at least good for sorting out those who are imaginative from those who should just stay home and watch TV and keep out of the way of the living.

It doesn’t seem to matter how often you have them cleaned, how many pairs you have or whether you get new ones all the time - shoes are a perpetual issue. Just scouring the city for a pair of that aren’t as ugly as sin and fit properly and then haggling over the price seemed to take longer than it did for said shoes to then be scuffed, daubed with Minsk oil and splattered by rainy day road sludge.
It’s enough to make a man wear gumboots.
